Hello and welcome to my oven!
After devouring the delacies of the French capital for the past year, I am home to savour the baked goods of the Irish capital. I am swapping croissants for scones and millefeuilles for muffins in the hope of showcasing the beauty of the Irish baking scene. I will be checking out the best cake shops in town as well as whipping out the apron to pay personal tribute to the classics of Anglo-Saxon baking – Victoria sponge, battenburg, bakewell tart,…With their beautiful breads and sumptuous cakes, the French may be the masters of baking, but I think that we too have something special to offer. Let’s just not mention “Cuisine de France” baguettes!
